You smoke your cigarettes and you drink your whiskey, but you’re still not going to forget him. You wash your hands every hour, trying to scrub away his remnants, and you buy all new furniture because everything else still smelled like him. You cut your hair because he always liked it long, and you close your windows when it rains now. You wake up dazed in a bed that isn’t yours with scratch marks down your back, and a man next to you that smells like burnt coffee and last night’s perfume.
